When considering the size of Alaska, a road trip planner will invariably ask if Alaska can truly be explored in one road trip. Alaska offers vast mountains, colossal blue-white glaciers and an abundance of wildlife with activities unique to the state; this combination earns an Alaskan Road Trip top honors in travelers’ memory books.

For most road trip planners, their itinerary will start with flight plans. Most people flying in will land in Anchorage. At this point, they’ll either rent a car and stay in hotels along the way (reserved in advance of course!) or they’ll rent an RV to explore Alaska at their own pace (with their itinerary allowing impromptu exploration options).

After exploring Anchorage’s offerings, many place the city of Tok as a destination in their road trip planner because it helps create a good triangle for your road trip. Tok is known as the “Sled Dog Capital of Alaska”. Plan on 5 ½ hours driving time from Anchorage but I know you’ll stop – even spend a day or two – around the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Get ready for the largest and most magnificent of the National Parks of Alaska, with 9 of the 16 highest peaks in the United States. This mountain region contains numerous glaciers, lakes and mountain streams and is home to a rich variety of wild life. It is superb country for climbers, walkers and water sports enthusiasts.

Fairbanks would be the third point of your trip triangle to add to your road trip planner (Anchorage to Tok to Fairbanks). Some travelers start their Alaskan Road Trip by flying in to Fairbanks, so for them, their trip triangle would be Fairbanks, Anchorage, Tok. Fairbanks is second biggest city of Alaska and has the all the amenities of an urban community. The Gold Rush Street at Pioneer Park was a replica but a real operating gold mine exists in this proud city. Visit the Museum of the North, take a river trip for half-day cruise through the Chena and Tanana Rivers. In the summer, the Riverboat Discovery Tour runs twice a day. Trip reservations are a must so make the necessary arrangements ahead of time.

Leaving Fairbanks, include the impressive Denali National Park in your road trip planner before hitting Anchorage. Denali contains Mount McKinley, the tallest mountain in North America and is definitely worthy of some heavy-duty exploration.

A four- to six-hour drive down south from Denali National Park, passing through Talkeetna, you’ll reach the town of Wasilla. Have your camera at the ready because moose or bear sightings along the way are often part of the journey. For canoeing experience, go to the Nancy Lake Recreation Area. There are plenty of cabins to rent for overnight stays. Further south, visit the Big Lake for swimming, camping, jet-ski and fishing. Proceed to Mat-Su Valley and drop by Iditarod Trail Headquarters on Knik Road. Learn some history at Knik Museum and the Sled Dog Musher’s Hall of Fame.

Another town to add to your road trip planner is Palmer, only 15 minutes away from Wasilla. There is a great RV campground here as well as some cool farms like the Musk Ox Farm. Best time to be here is in late August when the Alaska State Fair is celebrated.

Leave another day in your road trip planner to explore more of Anchorage. It has plenty of hiking opportunities, cultural events and art exhibits. The Flattop Mountain and Chugach State Park are the city’s pride together with Alaska Zoo and Potter Marsh, a bird and wildlife sanctuary.

If you have more time, add another leg of your road trip by driving along the Seward Highway, designated as the All-American Road, and enjoy the scenic view. Picnic opportunities are everywhere, and the picture perfect backdrop is hard to resist. Fishing, camping and canoeing activities in the Kenai/Soldotna area are nice options too.

I’ve shared one road trip example, but customize yours to reflect your own Dream Alaskan Trip. Below are some tips to help you get the most out of your trip.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO…?* See the Northern Lights; plan on coming either late fall and early spring.* Enjoy the Midnight Sun; put June 21st in the middle of your road trip planning.* Go whale watching; head to Alaska anytime from mid-May through mid-September.* View the most wildlife; summer-time will get you sightings of moose, bear, mountain sheep, caribou, coyote, wolves, sheep, beaver, otter, mink, or hare. In addition, birdwatchers can photo-capture eagles, hawks, jays, owls, spruce hens, grouse, and ptarmigan and migratory waterfowl coming north to nest each summer.

Make this the year you go wild with your road trip planning and head North to Alaska for a trip of a lifetime.

Step 1
Mistakes happen. We are human. If we mess up your order we will be glad to fix it and make it right for you. However we do not appreciate it when you yell, scream, curse and insult us. It doesn’t help the situation and it is unnecessary to verbally harass us. It’s been my personal objective when a customer starts verbally harrasing me I ask them to stop using that kind of language because it upsets me when someone is being mean and rude. We know you are upset but we are sorry and you need to let us resolve the problem for you.

Step 2
Promotions and coupons. If you visit a chain restaurant from time to time they run special promotions or coupons. Keep in mind that not all restaurants participate in promotions or honor coupons. I know it is frustrating you go to a restaurant and they are not accepting the coupon or running the promotion you saw advertised. A lot of places I have worked each state is drawn into regions and each region is given certain promotions or coupons to run. Usually on the coupon it states what region/cities are accepting coupon so you really need to check the fine print. Also it depends if the restaurant is franchised or corporate. If it is franchise the owner/operator can make the decision what promotion or coupons to run. It does not do any good to get mad at the employee because it is not their decision.

Step 3
Special requests, substitutions, and restaurant polices. Some restaurants do special requests and substitutions depending on what they are. However, if you have a request or ask for substitution sometimes you can be denied because it is against policy. Again it may seem trivial to you and do not understand why it is not allowed but please keep in mind corporate and owner/operators make their own rules. If you are complaining to the employees you are complaining to the wrong person. If you really feel that issue needs to be addressed than by all means contact corporate headquarters or the owner/operator. They are the only ones who can change the policy. Please whatever you do do not try to persuade or ask the employee to let you get by just one time. Not only is unethical it puts their job in jeopardy. If they get caught breaking a rule it can cost them their job. Let me ask you what would you do if the situation was reversed and you were the employee. Would you break a rule to satisfy them when it might cost you your job?

Step 4
Prices and extra charges. Corporate or each individual owner/operator set their prices. Discussing how expensive your meal with the employee is going to get you nowhere. They cannot change the price for you no matter how much you try. The same goes for restaurants charging you extra for condiments or for substitutions. The reason they do this is because food prices have soared and if they kept letting people getting extra condiments or substitutions they will not have enough for all their customers. Usually the the charge is at cost so they are not making any money off you.

Step 5
Service/Quality. If you have a issue with the service or quality please speak to a manager. Do not cause a scene by yelling and swearing so everyone can hear you. Most issues can be dealt with privately with satisfactory results. Managers want feedback on their restaurant’s performance and if there is a problem then can find what is going wrong and fix it as soon as possible.

Step 6
Health codes and regulations. If you believe an employee or the restaurant itself is committing a health code violation please let a manager know as soon as possible so they can take immediate corrective action. Do not announce to the whole restuarant that you know they are practicing unsanitary food procedures. This issue is serious but can be taken care privately and immediately as soon as you call attention to it to a manager.

Step 7
Equipment failures and low product. Usually restaurants do equipment inspections on a regular basis but sometimes you are in the middle of the dinner rush and it just stops working. Try to be understanding and not criticize to the employees that you have to wait or you had to order something else. In addition I want to add about restaurants running low on product or out it completely. KFC free grilled chicken coupon is a perfect example. KFC was advertising for free grilled chicken and then Oprah mentioned it on national television and people rushed to the stores to get free grilled chicken. KFC did not anticipate such a frenzy for the promotion that a lot of stores ran out leaving customers angry and had to offer rain checks. So keep in mind if a restaurant is advertising a special or promotion be prepared if you have to wait for them to make it or they be completely out of it. You cannot predict how poplar an item is going to be. However most restaurants will offer you an alternative or a rain check to compensate you.

Step 8
Wait times. Depending on what kind of restaurant you go to the wait time varies. If it is fast food it is usually quick but if they are in rush sometimes they do hold on a product and ask you to pull up if you are in drive thru. Do not throw a fit and refuse to move from the window. Please pull up because it is much easier to pull you up instead of making people run around your car to give other customers their food. Restaurants need to keep that drive thru lane clear to service their customers quicker. In reality you are making the problem bigger by having other people wait behind you it stalls the line and can cause accidents. Believe me when a customer refuses to pull up and all the other customers who know that person will not pull up get very irritated and I have seen them honking their horns and yelling at the customer to pull up. Also may I add having you pull up because your food is not ready ensures you are getting hot fresh food. If it as sit down restaurant of course their is going to be a wait time because they have to prepare your food fresh and it also depends on what you order. If you order lobster and baked alaska do not expect it in 15 minutes. However if you order was simple and it is taking awhile you may want to ask your server how long it will be before you will receive your food and most times they will go check to see what can be done to get your food to you or they may even comp your whole meal for you for your wait.

Step 9
Manners in a restaurant. People work in a restaurant to serve you and cannot tell you how to act but I feel it is important to address. You are there to eat not to make a mess by dumping you food all over the table, throwing spit wads, and unscrewing the tops off the salt and pepper shakers. Please behave in a restaurant as if you were eating with your parents. A big pet peeve with many waiters/waitresses/fast food workers are parents who do not watch to their children. We welcome children to our restaurants but we are not babysitters. I have seen countless times when parents are not paying attention to the kids and we find the kids running around the restaurant disrupting other customers or actually coming into the kitchen area. I might add please turn off or set your pagers, cellphones or any other electronic devices to vibrate. We have had customers complain to us about other customers whose phone would go off every 5 minutes or they talked loudly the entire time on the phone while they were eating. Please show some common courtesy for your fellow diners.

Step 10
Filing a complaint with the restaurant’s owner/operator or corporate headquarters. If you spoke to a manger and you did not feel they resolved your problem satisfactory than by all means call the 1-800 number or email a complaint. However it should not be something petty like they forgot to give me ketchup for my fries or your dessert was too cold. Problems like that could be easily fixed by your waiter/waitress/fast food employee. You should only call or email when it is a serious issue involving quality, service or safety. If you think calling the 800 number because they forgot to give you a straw with you drink is going to get the restaurant in trouble than guess again. It only counts against them if it is a serious quality, service or safety issue.

Tips & Warnings
Be calm when you have an issue with a restaurant. Do not use abusive language and do not get violent. If you do they have every right to ask you to leave or to call the police to escort you out because they are protecting the safety of their staff and other customers.
When encountering a possible health code violation please do not tell us you know for a fact are in violation and that the health department should shut us down. A lot of those responses are from people who visit restaurants that do not wear gloves in preparing food. Keep in mind each state, county and city have their own local polices and it up to the discretion of the local health department if a restaurant is committing a health code violations. A lot of restaurants I have worked in the health department did not require us to wear gloves but to follow a strict hand washing policy. In fact studies have shown strict hand washing was the best way to protect against food borne illness versus wearing gloves.

Please do not be intoxicated when you go into a restaurant. It is not fun trying to take your order while you are stumbling around and slurring your words. We have every right to take down your license plate number and notify the police there is an under the influence driver on the road. Also please act your age. It is not cute to answer your questions when you are giggling, screaming loudly or asking questions you already know the answer too. Please do not flirt with the employees when they are trying to work.

Even though Antarctica is not the easiest place to get to, more and more people are visiting every year and their visits are often via expeditionary cruises.

There are about 20 ships that carry from 45 to 280 people each that are responsible for most of these Antarctica cruises. The ships are ice breakers, meaning they are specially equipped for expeditions through polar waters, mostly to the area of the Antarctic Peninsula. The cruises take place mainly in the ice-free zones of the Antarctic Coast during the warmer summer months, which are November through March.

At the peak of the summer there are 20 hours of daylight in this region.

The most common and economical way of reaching Antarctica is on one of many Antarctic cruises which are perfect for the intrepid adventure traveler. Visitor numbers to Antarctica are increasing and a number of specialist operators offer Antarctic cruises in order to experience the spectacular scenery, the frozen landscapes, the indigenous and stunning flora and fauna and a taste of history. Antarctic Mountains

Some people will travel just about anywhere. Traveling can be done in just about any location. Locations for a trip are not difficult decisions. In just about any location a person can travel. Antarctic Trips 101

Two scientists are prospecting for uranium in the Antarctic. Prospecting for uranium in the Antarctic are two scientists. There are two scientists looking for uranium in the Antarctic. During the summers here the high temperatures average 50 degrees F or 10 degrees C. In November and early December the ice pack from the winter will be breaking up and the scenery is pristine pack ice and enormous icebergs. This is the season when the penguins and seabirds mate and you can be witness to their amazing rituals of courtship. If you go in mid-summer, which is the middle of December through January, the long days make for perfect photo opportunities. You will be able to see the seal pups that have recently been born and thousands of Antarctic chicks.

Antarctic cruises depart from Ushuaia in Argentina, which is the nearest landmass to Antarctica. Cruises that leave from anywhere else will be much longer and more expensive.
A typical cruise goes first through the Drake Passage, then to the Antarctic Peninsula, and the South Shetland Islands. The things you can see include a variety of different whales and seals, penguin rookeries, and seabirds like the famous albatross. The midnight’s sunsets you will see during your cruise in Antarctic are spectacular.

Many cruises have experienced cruise guides on board who are well informed about the history and wildlife in the area. They will periodically give lectures or just be available to answer questions. Guided Zodiac excursions ashore are a highlight of an Antarctic cruise.

When shopping for Antarctic cruises make sure the tour company you choose is a member of the International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators (IAATO). This organization establishes and enforces rules regarding things like the size of the cruise ships that are permitted in the waters of Antarctica and their conduct when landing. One of these rules is that only 100 passengers at a time are allowed to go ashore at any one spot in Antarctica. If your ship is larger than this, you will have fewer opportunities to experience the adventure on shore.

Restaurants in Edinburgh are amongst the finest in the UK. I guess there are two aspects which really set the Edinburgh restaurant scene apart from the competition…

…the intense variety of international cuisine and the selection of restaurants specialising in Scottish cuisine.

Scottish cuisine you say? What on earth is that? Hideous helpings of raw meat and champagne flutes of pig’s blood?

Think again, my dear friend. Our chefs are highly adept at complementing locally sourced meat produce like Aberdeen Angus or seafood such as salmon with a sortiment of the nation’s favourite vegetables.

Scottish cheese is also a regular feature on Scottish menus alongside fruit sorbets, purees and sauces. An evening at a Scottish restaurant will have diners looking beyond the much-discussed stereotypes.

I will be telling you about the internationally admired Scottish restaurants in Edinburgh of which the locals are proud, such as the internationally-renowned James Thomson trio The Witchery by the Castle, Rhubarb in Prestonfield and The Tower above the Museum of Scotland.

I will also tell you about the much-loved Edinburgh ‘chains’ Stac Polly and Howies.

We do, of course, have an impressive range of international restaurants in Edinburgh, most of which offer extremely high culinary and service standards.

From Rome to Paris to Dehli and beyond…

The extremely popular but often one-dimensional Italian cuisine is given a refreshing make-over at Valvona and Crolla, an Italian delicatessen, wine specialist, cafe and restaurant.

The business was started in 1934 by Alfona Crolla, the present owner’s grandfather as a way to provide Italian immigrants with authentic Italian products sourced from the finest local producers in Italy.

Nowadays the delicatessen has been extended to incorporate a highly successful restaurant. The family also have a bakery and a cafe in the city centre. Specialising in the best wine and cheese Italy has to offer with an admirable family-oriented approach to their work, Valvona and Crolla is more a way-of-life than a business.

If you’re into French cuisine, you shouldn’t really miss the ultra-blue Maison Bleue restaurant, if that’s even possible!

This delightful French, North African and Scottish restaurant comes complete with stone arches and a spiral staircase to feast your eyes upon and is without doubt one of the most colourful restaurants in Edinburgh!

The unique selling point of this restaurant is its cosmopolitan staff. Maison Bleue has chefs and members of staff from France, North Africa and Scotland and this is reflected in the menu.

If you like your food particularly French in style, delve into the snails and fois gras. If you want to try out some Scottish cuisine, I would recommend the haggis balls in beer batter….that is, without doubt, my first choice!

Like things hot and spicy? Me too! Let’s check out a Mexican and an Indian restaurant.

Mariachi is generally considered the best Mexican in Edinburgh. In terms of what a Mexican restaurant really should be, relaxed, entertaining and atmospheric, Mariachi really hits the nail on the head.

Mariachi was voted the best Mexican restaurant in Edinburgh in 2009 by the Edinburgh List Food and Drink Guide. If you’re looking for a restaurant that puts a tickle in your tummy and a smile on your face, you can’t go far wrong at Mariachi.

Mother India’s Cafe coined the term ‘twist on tapas’ back in 2008. You might be thinking…tapas?! India?! The restaurant owners have taken the Spanish concept of tapas and applied it to Indian food to finger-licking effect. It is one of the most successful restaurants in Edinburgh.

It’s a frustratingly simple concept. You usually sit in front of a menu pondering what to take and you know you have to choose something. At Mother India’s Cafe, you don’t. Take as many dishes as you want. Try new things out. There ain’t much to lose.

I say frustrating because they’ve been extremely successful with this concept; so much so, they were voted the Best Indian Restaurant in Scotland. Now, why didn’t I come up with that idea?!

In the running for Best Chinese Restaurant of the Year was Loon Fung, a Cantonese restaurant specialising in seafood.

Loon Fung has been a local favourite for over 40 years and if you can see past the dated decor of the restaurant you will soon realise that the food served to you is up there with the best Chinese food you can get.

As is the case with most Chinese restaurants, the service is efficient, friendly and smiley without being overbearing. Loon Fung is well-known for its excellent seafood, especially the monkfish and its large portions, so be warned! Oh, and their crispy shredded chili beef is actually crispy…

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept of Fusion Cuisine, I highly recommend trying out the Calistoga restaurant. The restaurant is a Californian grill which combines a number of different cuisines while also making use of quality Scottish produce.

The extremely talented chefs also run a number of deals at certain times of the day enabling you to sample their works of art for a reasonable price. Wine lovers will also be impressed by their selection of over 100 Californian wines…

For mermaids and rabbits…

With award-winning chef Roy Brett at the helm, seafood specialist Ondine has been a real hit of late. He finally opened his own restaurant last year after working with the country’s top chefs for many years.

The staff at Ondine are clearly passionate about seafood as their menu is adapted to suit the season and guests are invited to watch the chefs at work at the ‘Crustacean Bar’.

Ondine beat off tough competition to be crowned Best Scottish Seafood Restaurant of 2010. Another thing that speaks for this restaurant is their commitment to sourcing local seafood for their wonderful dishes.

Despite our love for all things meaty…we still have time for vegetarians! No, really! Take L’Artichaut for example…

Run by experienced French chef Jean-Michel Gauffre, L’Artichaut uses locally-sourced and imported produce to create fresh and healthy vegetarian meals with one eye on satisfying carnivores at the same time.

When I say that Monsieur Gauffre is experienced, I mean he literally has qualifications and awards coming out of his ears. He opened French restaurant La Garrigue in 2001 to great success and used to be the head chef at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. So it is definitely worth trying some artichokes for dinner!

Stac Polly

What’s with the strange name? Well…Stac Polly or in Gaelic ‘Stac Pollaidh’ is a famous mountain in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. The mountain is particularly well-known for its rocky crest.

This well-respected chain of modern Scottish restaurants with the distinctive name has three restaurants in Edinburgh.

Stac Polly successfully combines exceptional cuisine with a tranquil, informal atmosphere, which makes your dining experience typically Scottish.

You will be pleasantly surprised by the extent of the menu and the variety on offer. Locally sourced meat, seafood and cheese are regular features which are given a slight twist with the creative use of fruit, vegetables and herbs.

Not only will you give Scottish cuisine the thumbs up, you will have learned your first Gaelic words!

The Witchery by the Castle

Once described by Andrew Lloyd Webber as ‘the prettiest restaurant ever’, The Witchery by the Castle can only really be described as legendary.

You have to make an important choice here, dine in the original Witchery in all its baroque glory or take a seat outside in the ‘Secret Garden’. I suppose its like the old Pele/Maradona discussion.

All of the Witchery’s ingredients are sourced from the finest farmers, fishermen, butchers and cheese makers and they are so proud of this fact that they could tell you exactly where your meal originated from down to the name of the farm and farmer.

To say the restaurant is lavishly decorated doesn’t quite do it justice. Built in 1595, the Witchery, which is merely a stone’s throw from Edinburgh Castle, is awash with antiques, carvings, paintings and drapes all set against oak paneling. I’ll stop there…go experience it for yourself.

Rhubarb

Creator of the restaurant at the Witchery by the Castle, James Thomson (I say creator because his restaurants are works of art), took on the old Prestonfield Hotel on Priestfield Road in 2003. The hotel’s restaurant, Rhubarb, is similar to the Witchery in terms of extravagance.

This is the kind of restaurant where most mere mortals browse through the menu and think, ‘what is that?’ and then when they hear that the meals are made using local produce, feel a tad silly.

Sophisticated, alluring and flamboyant – Rhubarb is all of these and more. Before or after your culinary delights, you can move from the spacious oval dining area into one of the bar areas to the side to treat yourself to charms of the liquid variety.

Rhubarb is pure self-indulgence and you’ll love every minute of it.

The Tower

To complete the James Thomson collection we have The Tower, the iconic restaurant and terrace above the Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street.

Imagine tucking into exquisite Scottish cuisine surrounded by Moray sandstone architecture with jaw-dropping views of Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town around you. It would be difficult to find a more Scottish setting!

Extremely popular among celebrities, the Tower, as you might expect, prides itself on its outstanding food made from locally sourced produce. The restaurant is however sleek and elegant in style compared to Thomson’s other exceptional restaurants The Witchery and Rhubarb.

You will notice, while browsing through the menu, that The Tower specialises in seafood and shellfish in particular. However, beef, pork and game are also regular features.

I highly recommend a trip to the Museum of Scotland to learn about the history of our nation and people, topped off with a bite to eat on the top floor!

Howies

I do like a tale of humble beginnings. This is certainly the case for Howies. Twenty years ago, a small restaurant was opened in St. Leonard’s Street and in the past two decades the name has become synonymous with excellence.

Howies now have four restaurants in Edinburgh. This is not, however, your standard chain affair. Each restaurant is located in a unique building and oozes its very own character.

In keeping with this approach, the chefs at each restaurant are given the licence to create and adapt their own menus. A trip to one Howies restaurant does not mean you’ve got the t-shirt.

These award-winning and much-loved restaurants can be found at 10, Victoria Street, 208, Bruntsfield Place, 29 Waterloo Place and 1a, Alva Street.

own continental breakfast from a variety of possibilities,
breakfast, the Little Inn by the bay also provides
beach cruisers. There’s no sense in walking when you
and miles of beaches and boardwalk that Newport
Beach and peninsula has to offer.

Road trips are always fun to go http://on…usually. Nowadays, there aren’t nearly as many people taking road trips as there once was because of the high gas prices as well as the number of people who are trying to save money by not driving their vehicles as much. There are various reasons as to why road trips are good as well as why they may not be such a hot idea.

For starters, road trips often end up costing you much more money than you initially may have thought. Think about it; you have to factor into the cost of a road trip, the cost for gasoline for your vehicle, possible costs for repairs to your vehicle that may be necessary during the road trip, vehicle maintenance prior to your departure (I.e. oil change, rotate and balance tires, etc.), the cost of food for the trip, the cost of lodging along the way, the cost for fuel/gasoline during the trip, and finally the cost for entertainment along the way.

When I think about road trips, I am often reminded of my own road trips that I make from North Carolina to Long Island. I have made the trip home from North Carolina to New York so often and for so long that it is simply ingrained in me as to what time I need to leave, what I need to bring with me, as well as what stops along the way are better than others in terms of getting gasoline and food. I guess you could say that I’ve got it down to a science now. For instance, when I am traveling by myself to New York (as I often do), I only stop once exactly half way in Maryland where I fill up on gasoline, use the bathroom and get right back on the road. Additionally, investing in an EZ pass has also helped to cut down on the amount of time that I spend on the roadways. What would normally take a family or even another individual ten or more hours only takes me between 8-9 hours simply because I am familiar with the roadways, alternate routes and rest areas.

When you are taking a road trip, especially if it is a road trip to somewhere you have never been before, it is important to do your research ahead of time. Thankfully, we have the Internet where you can join forums or reach out to others who have made similar road trips and can offer up various bits and pieces of advice to help you out with the planning and execution of your road trip. As a general rule, you should always, ALWAYS pack some sort of an emergency road trip or car kit. In this car kit, you should have items such as bandages, flashlights, a first aid kit, an extra pair of clothes, sweatshirt, sweatpants, gloves, batteries, and some non-perishable food items/water. You never know when you are going to need any of these items. For instance, the other day, I was just going out to a friend’s house when I realized that my feet were probably going to get cold. That’s when I remembered that I had an extra pair of socks in my emergency car kit. You never know!
